King House in County Roscommon, recently restored by Roscommon County Council is now open to the public. ‘Kings of Connacht’, the story of the house, is told through a variety of three dimensional displays, audio media, special effects and participative exhibits. Admirably, disabled access is provided to all four floors by means of a lift and all entrances are ramped. Other public institutions take note.
