Published in UncategorizedWith the passing of Galbraith in 1890 the partnership of over 40 years was dissolved and the agreement put in place between the two men was enacted. The equal-share copyright and equal-share profits from the series held by the deceased were transferred entirely to the surviving partner. When Haughton died in 1897, he directed that his executors, Isabel Haughton and Revd Thomas Thompson of TCD, manage the copyright of his books and sell them when this was advantageous. The series continued to sell and a revised edition of Optics, edited by Isaac Warren, appeared in 1899. In his will, Haughton directed that the proceeds from the sale of the books should go to endow prizes for medical students.
