Huguenot records on CD-Rom

Between 1893 and 1946 the Huguenot Society of London (now of Great Britain and Ireland) published what were then, and still are, the only extant records of the Huguenot community in Ireland. The records, published as part of the Society’s quarto series, were printed in small numbers and were originally produced for the Society’s members and a number of subscribing libraries around the world. In 2004 the Society’s council approved the release of the series in digital form, as a consequence of which four Irish volumes—registers of the French conformed churches at St Patrick and St Mary, Dublin; registers of the French non-conformist churches, Dublin; register of the French church, Portarlington, Co. Laois; lists of Huguenot pensioners in Ireland—were transferred onto CD-Rom and are now available for researchers to use at home (€29 + €4 p&p).
The Society has also transferred a further 33 volumes of the quarto series onto themed CD-Roms, including the records of denization and naturalisation (four volumes) and the various sixteenth- and early seventeenth-century returns of strangers or aliens (five volumes), all of which feature Irish families. Additionally, all of the births/baptisms, marriages and deaths/burials recorded in Huguenot or French churches have been transferred to themed CD-Roms dealing with churches outside London, churches inside London and the main church in Threadneedle Street, London.
