He is better known to the general public for his association with the recent commemorations of the Great Famine and particularly the 1798 Rebellion. He is renowned for his tireless commitment to bringing his considerable scholarship and enthusiasm to the widest possible audience. Tommy Graham managed to catch up with him recently.
