What’s in a name?
Currently a senior research fellow at the Institute of Irish Studies, Queen’s University, Belfast, James S. Donnelly, Jun. is Professor of History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Amongst both the most prolific and wide-ranging of historians of Ireland he has also been the leading figure in the promotion of Irish studies in North America. Paddy Fitzgerald spoke to him recently.
